CME graduate student scholarships

NSERC Awards

Department Financial Support

MSc and PhD students are guaranteed financial support by the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering for the duration of their program in the following amounts:

• All students receive a basic living allowance of
  $22,000 CDN/year
• International Students receive an additional tuition supplement equal to about 75 % of the tuition fee differential
  $3000 CDN/year for 2009
• NSERC Scholarship winners receive a “top-up” of
  $10,000 CDN/year

Because their program is course-based and part-time, MEng Students do not qualify for financial support from the department. Departmental financial support is limited to two years for MSc students, and four years for PhD students.
